El interrogador
Michael Koubi trabajó 21 años en el Shin Bet, el servicio de espionaje e información que opera dentro de Israel y los territorios palestinos. Desde 1987 hasta 1993, fue el jefe de interrogatorios. Alega que con el tiempo suficiente puede hacer hablar a cualquiera, sin necesidad de emplear torturas. Esta es la respuesta que da, en una entrevista con New Scientist, (vía Boing Boing) a una pregunta sobre lo que pudo ocurrir en Abú Ghraib.
What do you make of the torture and abuse that took place in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq?I don't want to judge the Americans. In Gaza we have one security person for every 1000 people. In Iraq they have one for every 100,000. They have no information or intelligence on their detainees. Information is the beginning of interrogation, and if there is none, if there is no language between you and the detainee, sometimes you will use more power. That I presume is what happened in Abu Ghraib.

Sobre todo querian conseguir informacion de inteligencia de reclusos que luego tuvieron que liberar porque no tenian nada que ver y por la presion internacional sobre el escandalo. A proposito, creo que he visto en el telediario de las 20:30 en Tele5 donde sacaban las noticias de la investigacion sobre una supuesta Abu Graib, con fotos muy interesantes.
