Las razones de Simón Peres para abandonar a los laboristas y ponerse a disposición de Sharon:
"I held talks with him [Sharon] and I am convinced that he is determined to continue the peace process. I was informed that he is open to creative ideas to attain peace and security. I have decided to support him in the elections and to cooperate with him in attaining these goals."
La encuesta de los líderes:
El 47% de los israelíes quiere que Sharon sea el próximo primer ministro. El 18% apuesta por el laborista Amir Peretz y el 10% por Benjamín Netanyahu, del Likud.
La encuesta de los partidos:
El futuro Gobierno no será un monólogo de Sharon. Como es habitual en la política israelí, ningún partido tendrá la mayoría absoluta. Otro sondeo da 34 escaños a Kadima, 27 a los laboristas, 11 a los ultraortodoxos sefardíes de Shas, 10 al Likud, ocho a los partidos árabes, seis a los partidos ultraortodoxos askenazis y 24 al resto de los partidos.
