La Dinamarca de la intolerancia
A lo largo de la crisis de las caricaturas de Mahoma, muchos han destacado la imagen de Dinamarca como el típico país del norte de Europa con una larga historia de tolerancia. Por tanto, una nación muy alejada de cualquier visión integrista.
Falso, según un músico danés residente en Londres que ha publicado un artículo en The Guardian. Denmark's new values:
The world needs to realise that the Denmark that helped Jews flee from Nazi deportation is long gone. A new Denmark has appeared, a Denmark of intolerance and a deep-seated belief in its cultural superiority.We were a liberal and tolerant people until the 1990s, when we suddenly awoke to find that for the first time in our history we had a significant minority group living among us. Confronted with the terrifying novelty of being a multicultural country, Denmark took a step not merely to the right but to the far right.

Muchos países europeos han reaccionado frente a la creciente inmigración musulmana apoyando la derecha y la extrema derecha. Tal vez sea paranoico, pero creo que no falta mucho para que esta tensión explote contra ambos bandos.

Como siempre es importante no generalizar. Precisamente este verano estuve en Dinamarca colaborando con una gente danesa cuya intención era integrar un barrio marginal de Odense, dónde el 95% era immigrante. Se trataba de montar un circo infantil y juvenil.

Yo soy danés, y concuerdo completamente con la opinión de Kiku Day.
Por nuestra mayor desgracia.

escribe Kiku. Y es verdad. Pero, como dice cram1010, tampoco hay que generalizar. También existe una movida que quiere ser "contraria" a la xenofobia y representar a "otra Dinamarca":
